SciCo is a Non Profit Organisation whose aim is to communicate scientific issues to the public via innovative and entertaining means. It consists of scientists, academics, educators, artists and people with an interest in everyday science. It operates as a social enterprise, undertaking corporate social responsibility initiatives for institutions, organisations and multinational companies.

SciCo has been a pioneer in the relatively new and growing field of Science Communication in Greece. Since its foundation in 2008 it has been continuously developing its methods and techniques, gaining a widely recognised brand among institutions, schools and other stakeholders involved in education, science and communication. It uses a large variety of means in order to communicate science. Some of them are: science theatre plays, interactive training and digital learning programmes, workshops, talks and documentaries on ecology and health. SciCo’s actions are addressed to several target groups, such as the general public, youths, preschoolers and others, but it has developed an expertise in secondary school students (age 11 – 16), having reached so far more than five hundred (500) schools and fifty thousand (50.000) students all over Greece through various actions.
